
Virtualy – Training and Coaching have trained many aspiring Virtual Assistants thus far, and we thought we would create an opportunity to ‘check in’ with our Virtual Assistants that have put in the hard work and effort to get their Virtual Assistant Business up and running.
Our Virtual Assistant Success Story this month is our very own Virtual Assistant and Social Media Manager, Bridget Rosser.
Bridget started her Virtual Assistant journey after struggling to find employment when she was retrenched during the height of lockdown, having just come off four months unpaid maternity leave.
She started researching the Virtual Assistant industry, however, being the sceptic that she is, she wasn’t prepared to pay lots of money just to be sent information that she could have googled herself. Thankfully she came across a post on Facebook and got in touch with Virtualy to do their training and has never looked back! Bridget was impressed by the fact that Sonja had been a Virtual Assistant herself, so she knows the industry and what’s needed, as well as how affordable the training is considering the knowledge, information, and resources you receive. The selling factor for her was that she felt she had a support system with Virtualy, which is exactly what she was looking for.
After the training, Bridget ended up doing an internship and within her first two months, had 3 clients on her books already. She now has more than a handful of regular clients who take up most of her time and some ad-hoc clients in between. She assists with anything from Social Media Management, Proof Reading, as well as other admin-related duties. October sees Bridget celebrating her one-year mark as a Virtual Assistant.
Bridget says she would never have been able to start her business without the help of Virtualy and challenges anyone doubting whether they can do it to just take the leap of faith and do it – you may surprise yourself!
